Tool to Determine Your Social Security Benefit Eligibility

On Behalf of | Jun 16, 2020 | Social Security Disability

Many people who are unable to work have questions about what benefits they might apply for through Social Security.  The Social Security Administration provides a tool that individuals can access called BEST, which stands for <atarget=”_blank” href=”https://ssabest.benefits.gov/”>Benefit Eligibility Screening Tool.

By answering the questions in BEST, you will find out if you are able to receive benefits that social security administers.  Please be aware, that BEST is not a tool to apply for benefits but only to assist individuals in understanding what benefits, if any, for which they might be eligible.

BEST does not ask for your name or Social Security number, it does not access your personal Social Security records, and it does not give an estimate of the benefit amount you might receive.  However, it is an extremely helpful tool for those beginning to explore the potential of benefit eligibility.
